ELECTRIC POWER
Xcel Energy provides uninterrupted commercial/residential service and has a major sub-station in Albany. This sub-station is connected to CO-OP Power Association which links Xcel Energy to other electric utilities in the United States and Canada.  Xcel Energy rates are available upon request at 800-895-4999.
NATURAL GAS
Reliant Energy provides uninterrupted commercial/residential gas service. Natural Gas rates are available upon request at 800-722-9326.
TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE
Albany Mutual Telephone Association is a member-owned cooperative serving approximately 2,600 customers in the Albany area. The network has all buried facilities and single party service. Service consists of 2,600 acres lines as well as providing toll free services to additional 3,000 access lines. Additional services include long distance provided by AT&T and US West, as well as data, video, and business systems telecommunication available per the needs of the respective customer. Two paging services, one of which encompasses approximately a twenty-five miles radius of Albany and the other covering approximately 6,000 square miles, are also available. The above services are provided via the latest technology including digital switching and fiber network facilities.
