PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
Pursuant to due
call and notice there of a meeting of the Planning Commission in
and for the City of Albany, Stearns County, Minnesota, was
called to order by Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk at 6:30 o’clock
in the evening on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the Council Room at
400 Railroad Avenue for the said City.
Other Planning
Commission members present for the meeting were: Will Seiler,
and Joseph Wedel. Chairman John Harlander and Todd Horton were
absent. Councilor John Greer, Planning Commission Liaison, was
present for the meeting.
Acting Joseph Gilk
called for any additions or corrections to the minutes of June
12th and hearing none declared the said minutes approved.
Ralph Moorman, 921
Shamrock Lane No. 8, was present for the meeting.
Pursuant to due notice, at 6:35
PM, Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk called the public hearing into
session on a request by Ralph Moorman, 921 Shamrock Lane #8, for
a conditional use permit to “move out” and “move in” a
manufactured mobile home (Shamrock Mobile Home Park). Mr.
Schneider noted that a proper notice was published in the
Stearns Morrison Enterprise on June 24th and no
written comments were received. Mr. Moorman appeared before
the Commission to inform the Commission that the trailer or
manufactured home on lot 8 in the said Park will be removed and
replaced with a 1993 manufactured home. Mr. Moorman also noted
that the existing manufactured home will be relocated and moved
out of the City limits. Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk closed the
public hearing at 6:40 PM. After due discussion, a motion was
made by Joseph Wedel and seconded by Will Seiler to recommend to
the Council that the request by Ralph Moorman for a conditional
use permit to “move out” and “move in” a manufactured mobile
home (Shamrock Mobile Home Park) be approved. All voted for the
motion and it carried.

PM, Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk called the public hearing into
session on a request by Gene Walter, Sauk Centre, MN, for a
conditional use permit to “move out” of the City a detached shed
(18’ X 24’) located at 141 Railroad Avenue as per Ordinance 67.
Mr. Schneider noted that a proper notice was published in the
Stearns Morrison Enterprise on June 24th and no
written comments were received. Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk
closed the public hearing at 6:45 PM. After due discussion, a
motion was made by Will Seiler and seconded by Joseph Wedel to
recommend to the Council that the request by Gene Walter for a
conditional use permit to move out of the City the
aforementioned detached shed be approved. All voted for the
motion and it carried.
Pursuant to due notice, at 6:46
PM, Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk called the public hearing into
session on a request by James Stueve, Albany, MN, for a
conditional use permit to “move out” of the City a detached shed
(16’ X 20’) located at 1040 Forest Avenue as per Ordinance 67.
Mr. Schneider noted that a proper notice was published in the
Stearns Morrison Enterprise on June 24th and no
written comments were received. Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk
closed the public hearing at 6:47 PM. After due discussion, a
motion was made by Will Seiler and seconded by Joseph Wedel to
recommend to the Council that the request by James Stueve for a
conditional use permit to “move out” of the City a detached shed
(16’ X 20’) be approved. All voted for the motion and it
carried.
Gene Walter, Sauk
Centre, appeared before the Commission to answer any questions
regarding his request to move out of the City a detached shed.
Acting Chairman Joseph Gilk thanked Mr. Walters for attending
the meeting and informed him that his conditional use request to
move out the detached shed was approved.

adjourned the meeting at 6:50PM.
